Loops from the browser turn up in all sorts of places...

When I bring an audio clip in from the browser, either by dragging it or double clicking it, there is no logic as to where it will turn up.  Sometimes it appears:
- where I've put the Now time (ok)
- somewhere randomly to the left or right of where I wanted it
- often on top of another clip
- in a track OTHER than the selected track
- most startlingly, WAY off the track view - some today turned up at bar 1,617 !!!!!  (the project is about 100 bars and Shift F showed all activity, i.e. there was no other event already out there.)

Nomatter what I try I cannot get the same thing to happen twice so I just have to hope for the best, then find where the clip is, then drag it into place.

Anyone else experience this wild and random behaviour?

    In SONAR...

    1. Choose Edit > Preferences (or press P).
    2. Choose the File > Audio Data category.
    3. Remove the checkmark next to the option called Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp.
    4. Click OK.

    That should solve the problem.

that option should be off by default, it can be confusing -  not everyone know that broadcast waves includes time info.

Cake2010 - I agree... should be off by default.

John - No problem. Glad I could help!

    Thanks Scott.
I have had this problem for a long time that sometimes the audio clip was inserted far back in the project.
