Sample mixes??
Does anyone know of a source on the web where one can download WAV audio tracks and import them into Sonar for practice mixing sessions? Preferably, the tracks would have the usual modern arrangement of instruments (drums, bass, keyboards, guitar, vocals, etc.) and would have one instrument for each track (mono or stereo). 24 bit would be a plus - but not a necessity. It would also be nice if there was some kind of levels indication so that one could test their levels mixing ability against an authoritative source.
Anyone?

A really great source of multi track sessions for mix practice is from Mike Senior's website.
(Mike is editor of Sound on Sound magazine)
The URL is
www.cambridge-mt.com/ms-mtk.htm
Last count there were over 85 multitrack sessions available. In a variety of genres and the standard of the music and playing is high I believe. The tracks have been well tracked too which helps.
There are mp3 files available so you can have a quick listen to a track before you commit to a download.

I have bumped this because there are many multi tracks available here for mix practice and it is more like 100. And that is the number of
bands or artists
. Many of those have several or many multis under their name so you could really keep busy practicing your mixes skills with these resources.
