Focusrite - Scarlett Mix Control and Scarlett 8i6 interface

How do I "Unmarry" Scarlett Mix Control software and my Scarlett interface if possible. I may have this wrong but it seems that the settings that I last had on my Mix Control software is what my interface and DAW (X1 Producer) default to even if I do not open Mix Control. So if I re-open X1 after a few days off- to resume a project,  I must also open up Mix Control (and sometimes I forget to) to then adjust the ins and outs, monitoring situation, yadda, yadda. I am a solo artist and don't really have the need for all the different sub-routines and routing that Mix Control offers. I just want to fire up my interface and DAW, do my usual routing and be done with it !!!!   Long way around to ask this! So in order to get Mix Control out of the equation, do I need to un-install it, or is there some other way to quell it's influence with some settings I am ignorant of?

Thanks

    Hi silvercn,

All you need to do is set the routing the way you want it in Scarlett MixControl, and then select "Save to Hardware" from the file menu.  Once saved to hardware, the settings should be the same every time you power up the unit.  You will not need to open Scarlett MixControl again until you need to adjust your settings.

Pretty impressive Matt for you to stop by and help. I don't own focusrite but I always remember good customer support.

Wow super - thanks ! nice to get this from an "insider" Thanks. I guess I did not even notice "save to hardware" duh!! Do you think it could be in the future, that Mix Control will not minimize each time the DAW is clicked on for something - play...or for anything. Maybe there is a setting for that I am also missing out on? Thanks !!
