Another MCU question about 'Jog Wheel'

I have spent the afternoon editing some midi tracks in PRV and use the Jog Wheel to move around to the next note. I have my grid setup for 32nd notes (I actually have to in this case) which makes it a little hard for my old-timer eyes to see and count from the nearest quarter note.

Is there was a way to have the jog wheel move in 32nd note increments? Only thing I can find on the jog wheel is in the MCU properties where you can set it to increment in measures, beats, or ticks.

I usually have it set to beats but I tried ticks and it just takes forever to get around. The other thing I tried was leaving it at beats and setting the time/key signature to 32/32 but not sure if that may mess something else up. I did some more editing and saved the project as a different file name as it did not seem to make a difference.

Any thoughts or ideas would be welcome!

I have the old style MCU and extender, not the Pro with the USB connection.

Kind regards,
Rick

I'm a new MCU user myself and I had the same thoughts as you concerning the movement of the Jog Wheel.  I don't know if the Pro model has more features but if you use the Modifier buttons you can change the behavior of the jog wheel.  I have it set to measures.  Holding down the M2 button changes it to quarters.  Holding down the M3 button changes it to Ticks.

Your post got me thinking about my Frontier Tranzport and I quickly set it's Jog wheel for Samples.  Now I can quickly navigate to a beginning of a transient and then switch to the Tranzport and get right to the sample point.  I have the ability to be totally anal about splits now!   And in a hurry.  Haha.

That's pretty handy that the Frontier will jog to the sample level.

Don't feel bad about the totally anal part, they use to call that being a perfectionist! :)
