I've seen some of the fine folks here refer to a feature that does this type of thing to preserve system resources. Essentially it takes some strain off the computer by only taking samples of the graphics going on. It is a quick fix but I don't know how to do it. Search the forum as there are other threads in regards to this problem. Cheers.

hmm... I'd try it again. Then reboot and try it again... and then again once more time for feeling. If not maybe your graphics card is borking out seeing as how your audio is coming through fine... but your specs say you are on a notebook... hmm... that would be bad.

oh... I've got an idea. Maybe your graphics drivers are doing something wonky. Has Windows update recently on the laptop? Maybe check to see if there are any updated drivers for your motherboard/chipset/whatevs. Good luck

Seriously though try a reboot. Sometimes that just magically makes silly quirks like this go away. Unless you have already done that. Anyway... I'm out of ideas. Cheers.

Yeah... I should have been more clear on that. Computer reboot. Not just a Sonar reboot. Thanks, Chuck. Hope you are well.

A complete shutdown too is sometimes also required. eg a cold boot. And wait a minute also before you reboot. Sometimes RESTART is just not enough and the problem can remain.

Hi Beepster. She is no puppy now. She is 13 in fact which makes her 91 in dog years! She is quite an old lady now. She is a bit blind and deaf and runs into things and knocks over guitars off stands and generally causing me stress and driving me mad but I do love her so though!

Yeah, I can see the years and wisdom in her eyes but they all keep a little puppy in them... and that's why we adore them. Give her an ear scratching for me. :-)

Hey i have sonar x1 producer expanded and it has been running ok for a bit.Just today when I began working on projects i noticed the faders were not reacting to my adjustments normally or "in sync".Also when viewing the track view the cursor is kinda "jumping" forward. The audio is fine so what is going on?!It happens in a loaded project and a brand new one.

Sonar has Graphic issues wth Windows! If you're running Win7 try changing to a different Screen theme. When I switched to classic XP style all my graphics issues went away.

You might want to check Options>Audio and make sure it hasn't reverted to MMC drivers. High latency can also display some of these symptoms.
