HELP: Serious problem here!!!

Hello,

Yesterday I was tracking drums and suddenly I hear this noise all over the place...digital noise and sonar froze...but the track was still playing...recording stopped though.
I had to force sonar to close.
From then on, Sonar X1 opens fine but when I load a project (any project), I get the following error:

https://www.facebook.com/...amp;type=1&theater

if I click on IGNORE, the project opens and plays fine.

if I click on RETRY I get the following error details:

I have tried restoring windows to a few days behind but it does not help.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't make out the error message, the image was a little too blurry. But seeing BitBridge mentioned there I guess it could have something to do with a 32-bit plugin.

I'm guessing you're on 64-bit Windoes and Sonar?

If you have a 32 -bit vst in there somewhere, does the problem go away if you remove it?

It looks like it's BitBridge that crashes and not Sonar BTW, but Sonar goes all haywire when the BitBridge screws up. So BitBridge can cause Sonar to crash. What you need to figure out is what is causing BitBridge to crash

    + 1 = image totally useless.

    + 2 = definitely looks like a bitbridge problem

and my .02, uninstall sonar.  re-install sonar.  something has become corrupted.   windows system restore is like flipping a coin.. you get a fifty/fifty shot with that...

Msvcrt.dll is the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library for Visual C++ version 4.2 to 6.0. It provides programs compiled with these versions a set of library functions required by C and C++ programs. These include string manipulation, memory allocation, C-style input/output calls, etc.
I would suggest you remove C++ runtime and reinstall it. You can look here for more info:

             http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632
Download it from Microsoft. Do not use anything that may be available from third part web sites.

If this doesn't resolve the problem and you are intermediate to advanced technically, Microsoft debuggers can be found here:

              http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463009.aspx

If you're a technical novice, you can post your error signature on the W7 forum here:

Thank you all for your replies.
    I will uninstall/reinstall sonar & C++ runtime.

...and it may be time for a fresh windows 7 install soon ;-(
