I guess it was OK if you like this kind of music. I don't think Bob Dylan has much to worry about. I didn't hear any harp. Mix and sound wise the song was fine.

    You harbor resentment
You know there ain't too much of a thrill
    You wish for contentment
But you got an emptiness that can't be filled
    You've had enough hatred
Your bones are breaking (and you) can't find nothing sacred, (but)

Lee, I've listened to several of your songs, and you are consistent in style, which I am warming up to.  I went through my Bob Dylan phase many years ago, but I'm happy to see that he's still in everyone's consciousness.  Forgive me if he's not your paradigm, but there is that unmistakable resemblance.  Regardless, you have an interesting song here, and your delivery is intense and honest.  I had to listen very closely to make out your lyrics, so I think you can improve on that aspect somewhat.  All in all, stick with your strengths, and let 'er rip.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks as always Lynn, comments very much appreciated. I like Dylan as much as the next guy (Blonde on Blonde in particular), but he's not necessarily my main influence, it's just when I pick up the acoustic and write, what comes out ends up sounding like him....go figure. I do plan on recording more on the electric in the coming months, we'll see where that takes me. All the best, Lee

Hey Warren, I've been so busy havent had a chance to listen.  I did however see dickhead petes comments and they belie his lack of listening and knowledge of music.

Yes your voice is Dylanesque but the music is Pink Floyd and in particular sounds like solo Syd Barret.

I suggest if you haven't already Warren have a listen to early pre-DSOTM Pink Floyd and Syd Barret and you will see what I mean.

Dickhead Pete, you need to get a larger musical lexicon, this track sounds nothing like Dylan apart from the obvious vocal overtones.

All in all I like this track Warren and apreciate your style.  As always your mix and your master is excellent.

    Peace Ben
