Who I am (hiphop, work in progress)

Working on a track and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Got my new mic yesterday and haven't spit in two years! Good to be back:)
So basically the only thing I do right now is the vocals and the lyrics. I've mixed this quick, but it's going to be mixed by people who know a lot more about mixing than I. Hence I would mainly appreciate comments about my vocals. Flow/presence/overall performance etc.

refreshing for this forum, i liked this.

Thought the keys took over the vox a bit on the verses.

The strings give the chorus a nice lift.

The beat dropout at around 3:00 was good since it broke the monotony of the percussion loop.

You got good overall loudness here too.

I'm far from an expert in this genre but your vocal sounds right on the money to me.

    Cool tune.

This is the third song I've listened to this morning that gave me a smile.  There are a lot of good things happening here, and one of the best is the tightness and definition of the bass frequencies.  Certainly, a key element in rap and hip hop.  The vocal was clear and easy to understand.  Cian has a point about the keys, but that is pretty minor in the overall production.  All in all, a good effort.

    All the best,
    Lynn
