Sony click and crackle removal plugin not found after moving to Win 7 64bit

I've got the noise reduction 2.0 plugin working fine in sound forge but I can't get cakewalk to see it. I've added the correct folder to scan in plugin manager and I can see it finding the correct dll when scanning. I've also tried the regsrv32 option which does successfully register the dll, but after restart and re scan of vst's it's just not there. My routine used to involve selecting every track, applying click and crackle removal, then bouncing all tracks to clips which worked no problem. I tried izotope rx2 click removal which worked ok on a single track, but it makes cakewalk crash if I try applying it to more than one track.

You can't run 32 bit plug ins inside a 64 bit program with out using bit bridge. You can tool copy the track into sound forge and apply the plug in that way. Other solution is install the 32 bit version of Sonar and use it for this application.

If you're getting click and crackle, rather than trying to fix it with an effect, don't record it in the first place. Sounds to me like your latency or driver mode setting is not right. Make sure you are using ASIO if you have a good soundcard.

I sort of assumed he was dealing with recordings from vinyl. But you could be right too.

I doubt if any crackle remover can handle disturbances caused by poor drivers and that kind of things without compromising the whole recording. That especially if it's used in a "batch editing" way for all tracks the OP is describing. Then again, if you record vinyls, what are those "all tracks"?? A recorded vinyl is only one stereo track.

So I assume there must be some special reason (like audio restoration) for routineous use of crackle remover (??). Otherwise it sounds like a very strange routine that should not be necessary at all.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

It is routine to people who use vinyl records to build loops. My son and his buddy's do this. But of course they use Abilton.
