Well, the video fits the music and vocal, and the music and the vocals fit the video. Nice guitar playing. We all have our thing. Peace be with you. Blessings, John

I don't know what to say about this.  It's a love-hate relationship.  It's art for art's sake.  In this age of over commercialization, this can be like an oasis.  Or, a dry hole.

Yeah, it is what it is. I do what I do. I don't have any illusions of becoming anything other than what I am. If I find an audience, then fantastic, if I don't, I will continue to write and make art. For arts sake I suppose.... Lee

Though I will say....I certainly hope it's not a dry hole! I do think there is something here of merit, but I can't control what people think, once it's out there it's out of my control.

This was like Bob Dylan in a Zyrtec induced fog. The song was entirely too long and really monotonous. The vocals unfortunately were completely lethargic. However, if that was the point of the song then you hit your mark, and I wasted 7:02 of my life listening to it. I did like some of the images of the flowers, they were nice.

Hi Lee, one question do you like it? if the answer is yes then you have achieved the biggest part of musical art.  I would then say f! TOS of the forum insists the sentence stays incomplete.

    Thanks for sharing.

Lee, for the record I consider this to be quite artistic, and I applaud you for standing up for it.  We need songwriters like you to keep some of us (i.e. me) grounded.  Keep em coming.

Hey Lee, great stuff.  The imagery fits the song perfectly and (for me) sets an introspective, contemplative mood.  Keep doing what you're doing.  It's wonderful and refreshing art.

PS I bought your CD Translucence.  Well done!!!

    Cheers

I like this song. It does sound like "Better man" by Pearl jam. There are differences but that's what pops in my head.

Other than that, really well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Better man, wow....I loves me some Pearl Jam, seen them at Madison Square Garden here in NYC 4 times, one of the greats, so to be compared to them in any way is very hight praise indeed.  Thank you very much my friend!

Ah Dickhead Pete, a man with no taste, knowledge or sense.  There is a Syd Barret song called Have You Got It?.  All he does is sing Have You Got It?  No because you are a little on the thick and ordinary side.  Man I could play this game all day with you banjo playing pete, I get all my anger and frustration out and for once it's all for a good cause.  PISS OFF DEADBEAT PETE.

Ok Lee, sorry I have been calling you Warren, is this your stage name??

I love this, I'm doing my third degree, I am a loser who can't get a job, so I study LOL.  I'm doing Fine Arts and a major in Electronic Media and Photography, so I dable in what I like to call video sampling and this is what this is for me.

The imagery fits the track and I loved this track when it was posted just as song.  The video glues the whole experience and feel of the track together for me.

I have one issue, the transisitions latter in the track just don't work, they feel contrived, it would have been better sticking to just plain cuts.  I know how it is to be truly wasted.  I am a firm believer in altered states of consciousness ala Huxley and Leary.  Yes I have studied them too.

For me when I am in that altered state of consciousness it's more like cuts when I am looking at things, I def don't see circle transistions, LoL.

But I am being picky, that was a beautiful video and I could see it in some form of video installation at a gallery.

    Peace Ben

BenMMusTech Yeah, that d'bag Pete, he's a waste of time, not sure what is wrong with him exactly, but it's probably clinical.  I just block him when he comes out of his little miserable hole.  And my name is actually Warren Lee.....I go by Lee, but I'm not too picky   :).
As for the video, yeah man, totally valid critique.  I am brand new at this, never attempted before.  I like it, but I do agree with you about the"wasted"element and the later part being "contrived".  I shot a lot of footage, but some just didn't work, so I decided to re-use some for the later part.  I was hoping to get a hypnotic kind of feel, and I think I kind of succeeded, but not completely.  Anyway, I will keep at it....and thanks for the feedback man, love it!
