Getting Blank Bars off the Start of Mixes (Exports)

I posted this question under the title Automation Bug and got no answers—possibly because the title confused people. When I cut the blank two bars out of the front of a project before exporting as a WAV or MP3, all the automation gets offset by two bars; in other words, I delete the blank two bars and all the music is fine but the automation happens two bars too late because it stayed in place. How do most people remove the blank bars at the start of a project? (Yes, I could leave the blank bars and edit the wav later, but that seems like an awkward solution.) Thanks.

Just change the From marker in the Selection section to 3:01:000 instead of 01:01:00.

Don't cut or delete the blank bars in the project. Leave them alone and export it with the silence at the beginning. My tracks all have 2 measures of count in ticks in those first 2 measures.... 1, 2, 1,2,3,4.....

Use your favorite wave editor to snip the silence after it is exported. Open it in the editor and trim the start and ending to remove unwanted silence....

I often trim the start really close to the start of the wave and then add 500 ms of silence back in at the beginning so there is a slight but barely noticeable delay from pushing start to hearing the music.... 500ms goes fast.

FWIW, this is exactly what I have been doing since 5SE. Back then I had Sound Forge 8 and I used that to "finish off" my WAVs before assembling an album and burning to CD, and for that I used CD Architect. Yes, a bit more long winded perhaps, but I prefer to do it that way.

In Nuendo I'd just set the markers to where I wanted and then exported. Haven't gotten that far in X1 yet but I'd imagine it would be same... at least I hope it is. :-/

I bounce my finished mixes to the last track in the project and do my trimming and pseudo mastering there, With the track solo'd of course.

Haven't read the other thread but...Select the measures, Edit>Delete, select Delete Hole and make sure Track/Bus automation checkbox is enabled. Works fine for me in 8.5.3 but I have no idea if this works the same in X1
