No Read Without Write

What am I missing? I turn automation on one or more tracks and move the faders as desired. I play it back and everything is fine. Here's the problem: When I Turn WRITE off, Sonar does not read the automation, even though READ is on. I have to turn WRITE on to see and heat my fader changes. This is not a huge problem—until someone accidentally bumps one of the faders during playback. What's up? By the way, i am not sure this is the case in every project, so maybe there is some setting somewhere...?

    Hi Konrad,

I've just tried this myself. I turned Write on, on a track, and then I started playback. During playback, I tweaked the volume slider, and I could see the automation being written to the track. I then turned write off, and played the project from the beginning, and the volume fader moved up and down in response to the automation.

So I don't know what has happened at your end Konrad. Have you accidentally turned something on or off?
