Keystrokes to plug-in icon does not work
I just installed Sonar X1 Producer with the Expanded update, and I notice that the icon on the upper right of the synth plug-in screens that apparently should send keystrokes to the plug-in now only activates the step sequencer. The keystroke re-direct no longer appears available. Is anyone else having this problem?

no,there is one for the step sequencer and one for keystrokes as well.

In that case, I don't see anything for the keystrokes re-direct. Where is it? What am I missing?

Which plug in are you looking at?
If it's a 32 bit plug operating under bitbridge you won't see the keyboard icon

I noticed the problem initially when I was looking at dropzone, and I realized that I could not use any of the key commands. I then noticed that all the plug-ins seemed to be the same way. The icon on the upper right of the properties page which should be the keystroke re-direct now simply initiates the step sequencer. I am guessing that something went awry on my installation. I do not know how much this might matter ultimately in terms of the plug-ins I mostly use. I am not using bitbridge. I'm not sure what bitbridge even is.

Bitbridge is automatically used when you're using a 32 bit vst in a 64 bit host and part of the normal vst functionality is lost in this type of configuration, such as the "send keystrokes to plugin" button.
Check your keybindings - I'm not sure what the command is for the Step Sequencer, but it's possible something got fouled up during your installation.

there was a update that fixed it for me. I reported the problem a few months back and there was a quick fix and then it was included in the last "big" update.

Thanks for all the feedback. I finally paid closer to the X1D update information, and it looked like the problem was that I needed to apply the X1 Producer Expanded Update after applying the X1 Expanded add on. I had applied an X1D Producer update, and then the Expanded add-on which apparently produced the problem. I just now applied the X1d Producer Expanded update, and the keystrokes override feature is now working correctly.

If it is a 32bit plugin in 64bit Sonar, then the Give keystrokes to plugin button can be brought up by holding shift while bringing up the plugin gui. In other words, close the gui and hold Shift while double clicking the icon in the synth rack. Be aware that you may not see the extra icons until you move the plugin gui window, as the buttons such as give keystrokes are in a seperate smaller window that needs to be enlarged to see them. Sounds kind of confusing, but once you do it, its not really. Hope that helps Ron
