Reassigning Midi CC sliders within Sonar?
Sorry, this is a total newbie question and I realize that it might have a very "standard" answer. But since I have no real idea whether this ultimately has to do with ACT, I figured I'd get a faster answer here...
I have a fairly old synth that I'd like to use as a MIDI controller in Sonar X1 (through my soundcard's MIDI in) -- out of the box it of course works as it should as far as the keys and the wheel/bend are concerned. However, the synth also has two sliders that I'd like to assign to MIDI CC's of my choice. The sliders are assignable within the synth itself, but it appears that they actually just send the standard slider CCs (#16 and #17).
I've briefly tried to mess with the "ACT MIDI Controller" template but I haven't had any luck with it -- most of the available functions seem to be track specific (T1 Vol, T4 Pan and so on), and I haven't found a way to specify general MIDI CCs with it. To be specific, I'd just like to assign one of the sliders to the Expression control (CC #11) of the current (input echo) MIDI track -- just like it works out of the box without any ACT trickery, with #11 instead of #16.
