Is Cakewalk care about Daltonian ?

Got a teck talk today with a good friend , ingeneer and i was joking around the fact that in Logic , he can't no more see if a track is armed as they changed some on the gui that make the contrast invisible for him as he's is "daltonian" !!

Are you guyz can consider this like a "daltonian" color scheme ready to use or some ?

Daltonian is Red-Green color blindness. Since X1's color theme's don't work, there not much you can do about it at this point, although there are very few colors used in X1 so it may not be that big of a problem. Tell him to try the demo.

My family had a couple daltonians when I was growing up. Lovely animal, great with kids.

If it were not for Panup's mods, X1 would be completely useless to me.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

If I end up going completely blind (which is quite possible) I don't know how I'd work all these fancy Cake gizmos. Are there any blind users on the forum? I'm curious as to how they manage. Text stuff is easy due to text to speech software but audio stuff? I mean there must be blind sound engineers out there.

I have Retinitis Pigmentosa and eventually will be blind. I have a magnification program called Zoomtext and I can't use it with X1 at all. If I make an adjustment, the screen start jumping around like crazy. I sent a video of what's going on to support explaining what happens using Zoomtext with X1. I hate calling people this but the idiot said I should use the 96dpi setting in the video settings. The support person OBVIOUSLY did not read my email or he/she would not have given a most unhelpful reply. Worse yet, I could not reply back! Zoomtext works fine with 8.5.

X1 may have been a step forward for some things but as a gui, it was 10 steps back. Until Panups mods, I never knew the numbers were still there under the meter, I never knew the little button in the PCEQ under the gain for the hi eq switched from bell to flat one (sorry, I forget what it's called and last but certainly the most important, I can actually use X1! I don't know about you all but staring into a light all day is STUPID! It gives me a headache, keeps Advil in business and keeps the country from winning the war! (Goerge Carlin quote there about the war. LOL!)

I use a high contrast theme for Windows. Thankfully Windows 7 has finally got it right. Now if the rest of the world would get off the stupid bus and stop making everything with white or bright backgrounds everyone can enjoy less headaches. I have to give kudos to this forum. With all the complaints about the forum software and how buggy it is, It works very well with my high contrast theme.

For those who think that the white is alright, go stare in to your brights in your car lights for ten minutes. That's what X1's original layout is to me.

For those who hate smoking. I'll sit in a garage all night and smoke one after another non-stop if you sit in the same garage all night with a car, of my chosing, all night. A little off topic but I got carried away. ;-) And I don't even smoke! Well, for 14 years anyway.

Yes. I'm regular X1 gui allergic.
