Tempo change
Was up everybody?
Look, I received a song recorded with Sonar 8.5... They record it with Sonar at 100bpm but the song is 150bpm... I never had this situation before... When I change the tempo to 150, everything go out of sync... I tryed to lock clips but it didn't work too.. What is the trick to do it?

Set your Now time at 101:00:000, hit Shift-N to open the Set Measure/Beat At Now dialog, enter Measure 151, Beat 1, and OK. SONAR will change the tempo to 150 without affecting the absolute timing of either audio or MIDI tracks.

You sure about that? Doesn't sound right to me. What does the Now time have to do with tempo?

Have you ever seen me post a solution I wasn't sure about?  Setting the Now time is just an easy way of telling SONAR you want x measures to go by in the time of a y measures. You use x+1 and y+1, because measure counting starts at 1, rather than 0.

Yes, Measure 101. The three zeros at the end tell you it's M:B:T format.

Yes, Measure 101. The three zeros at the end tell you it's M:B:T format.
After a couple of beers - now I get it! so you change measure 101 to 151 - and that changes the bpm. That's clever!
