NI B4(the first version) assigning rotary

hello....anyone out there knows how to hook up a sustain pedal to assign to the rotary effect in B4 I ,I'm using Cakewalk Sonar 8.5???? I have B4 II but like B4 I better. In B4II u get the choice to select a CC# number for the rotary. That works great.#64. But in B4 I u don't. In the stand alone version, there's a midi settings, and there u have 3 different Midi Input Channels. There's one for pedal...I've tried changing from 1-16..nothing-. I 'm using a casio CTK-571 as keyboard. I've tried changing the keyboard channels there also. No problem turning the rotary on and off with the mouse. Same happens when i use several rotary effects  use,MrDonald and akai rotary pro. I check on the # 64 and no dice....anyone have any ideas???? would appreciate any help..tanx/Ray

I can't fully answer your question, but I can clear up one misconception. The Midi channel for the pedal is used to play the notes on pedal board of the organ. You can also set it up in Sonar to have three midi tracks controlling the upper and lower manuals and pedal board.

Its been a very long time since use the original B4 but I think it should be possible to switch the rotary with the sustain pedal. You need to find out what midi cc controls the rotary effect. The sustain pedal method is used by many Hammond emulations to change the rotary speed, it beats the mod wheel because its a simple binary fast/slow control and a foot switch means you can be playing with both hands when you change speeds.
