This is the one I've been getting all weepy about
So I moved it to the top... Many havn't heard it. For those who haven't heard it? It was originally done by James "of James and Larry fame? But this is Acrobat's Supper? It's before Larry I think? And it fetures Tim Wilkenson on vocals. Now, as I've said, when I heard this originally? It moved me deeply… So I asked James if he would do me the honor of covering one of his songs, and he granted me that privilege. And it was a privilege indeed… What you hear is my cover, from several years ago? It is not acoustically perfect. The mixing is not perfect. I seek no comment on the mix, or the performances. This is submitted “as a tribute” to what I believe was the best song on the forum. Not that my version is, I embellished the original. This is my tribute; to acrobat’s supper’s version of “My Love Will Find You.” What I believe to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Thank you James, and Tim. At the top... www.reverbnation.com/rockinrobby AGAIN, I make no comments or representations about the mix, only the writing and the production (the production by me, with harmonies and some added vocals) James, I apologize for this, but I posted it because of the "best song on the forum thread." I really think it is just that, not my version per-se? Just that this song is really special to me.. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It is really a special song. My love will find you...

No apology necessary Robby. I was watching a documentary about Mark Knopfler last 'A Life in Songs'. He talked about how when a song is written, it's a like a child, it goes off and has a life of it's own. I think it's wonderful that this song touched you so deeply, especially at such a hard time in your life, and you keep it alive. It's a shame that it was recorded with an out of tune top E string, but if that doesn't spoil it for you, no problem. The word 'best' would be better replaced by 'favourite' I think. 'Best' is a competitive term. For me, it's not my favourite song that Tim has written, that goes to 'Fall of Trees', which I hope to play some guitar on one day. I understand why you love this one so much though. Just thought I should add - I had no hand in writing the song, it's all Tim's work.

Robby, I'm getting nothing from the link. It looks like the song is playing, but no sound is coming. I'll try later. OK, I'm back and I heard the song this time. I can see why you like it so much. You describe this so well, that I couldn't add anything that you haven't said. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It's Reverbnation... I'm not happy with them and I'm going to change. I think Soundcloud, a lot of folks use them, and I've never had a problem with them. But RN is hit or miss :-( Please try again later? It's a good song, and I think my harmonies fill it out nicely once it gets going.

Hey Robby, Yes, sir, I remember this very nice take on James and Tim's beautiful song! Your additions and stylings provide a different perspective and also sound great along side the original tracks. Thanks for reposting it. Have a good one, buddy! Bob

I haven't heard this one before but I don't need to in order to appreciate your posting. It is indeed a beautiful song and you have done a terrific job on the re-do. Excellent vocals. Freddy J

It's a pretty one, thanks guys, and thanks again James. And Sorry about RN, I may be over them. I should have my DAW back on-line next week, it's been "DAWon" for a month... :-( So I'm anxious to get it back. Working on some colabs with some very talented forum friends and a new original country song is trying to write itself (I'm there watching, I hope it comes out OK.)
