love it. love DADGAD tuning. lately that's one that i've been working with a lot. you're a way better classical technician than i will ever be so this is most inspirational. actually jamming along a bit with you here. i think the resonance of the Dsus4 chord and all its resonating potential between open and fretted strings excite new frequency patterns which give it that unique texture and spectrum of sound. this is truly great. thanks for sharing! :-)

As always, consistently good. There is so much potential with that tuning. The mic an DI combination sounds like the guitar was next to me. You got the mojo.

nice sound. I have considered tuning one of my acoustics to this tuning.... I have to make a note to do this.

it really is amazing. have listened to it a bunch of times now. i totally suck compared to this ;p my approach is much more blunt and from a chording/ geometric angle, but the resonance of the cool tuning is still there http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2616275

Hi Daren , just a completely different approach. For me it's melody first, let DADGAD take care of the harmony and the rhythm will follow the melody. Yours is more of a "rock"approach, ie rhythm first.

I've avoided alternate tunings because I don't have a bunch of acoustic guitars and I hate having to retune but I love the sound. What I have learned is an astounding number of open string chords, which can give a lot of the same effect. I've leaned to used a great many fluently and interchangabley with all the other chords. But back to your tune... I didn't take me long to warm up to it, I like it!
