Removing all FX from tracks?

Hi!

I have a project that has A LOT of tracks. I'm not happy with the mix so I've decided to start completely from scratch. Is there a fast way of removing all FX from every single track including changes I've done in Pro Channel, volume, panning etc... I know you can bypass FX but I want to completely delete everything except the waveforms in the project.

Pardom my poor english.

Cheers!
/Mats

Your english is very good! I don't know how to do what you describe. In my mind I imagine a view like the event view, except that it is called fx view. In the fx view, you can highlight all the fx and delete them. But again, that's just in my mind. Hopefully someone will come by with a solution that can actually be useful.

If it's all audio, ctrl drag the waveforms onto new tracks.

Not that I know of - you have to do them all manually, one track at a time.

For Pro Channel, one option would be to go into every track that has PC enabled and load up the "Blank" preset, rather than zeroing all the settings.

You can of course bypass individual bins/PC and build your mix from there.

How many is a LOT of tracks?

Well it's a lot of tracks for me at least. Around 300 and if I were to clean it up a bit I'd probably get down to 250-60.

But of course I can just copy the tracks to a new project as suggested by BigDogs. Didn't even occur to me. Thanks!

Could he not use the (I think it's), hold down shift, while clicking to open the project, (maybe it's control or alt, I can't remember, It's been so long since I had to use it) to open the project without any FX's then save that as a new version, and hopefully that would effectively blank all the FX's?????

I've never tried using it this way, but it could well work, and is probably worth the try.

That's actually a very good idea and should work perfectly.

And it's shift to open in Safe Mode.
