Groove clipping... what's going on??

Hello everyone. Very strange thing is happening to me tonight: I've recorded two 12 bars audio clips on two tracks, audiosnapped them, bounced them to new clips and finally made sure that the clips boundaries were excactly on the mesures' boundaries. Then, I tried to groove-clip them one-by-one(CTRL+L) and suddently my 12 bars clips were made 16 bars clips. Tried to change the number of beats in the loop construction view AND in the track inspector... nothing worked... (even entering numbers with my numeric keypad was have issues... had to enter all my parameters using the mouse... bad...) Workaround... had to build my song using standard copy-paste! Kind of bulky and old-fashioned compared to what SONAR can do today... Any clues on what might be going on? Or am I just getting to old for this ??
