UA 25EX and ableton live 7 issue

  Hi, I'm new here and was having some issues getting playback to work with my recording set up at home. I use a ua 25 ex and ableton live 7 and at first it worked fine however as of late i've been having playback issues. The ua ex 25 is connected with usb to my computer (windows 7 32bit) and when i play/record i can see soundwaves as well as the little green feedback bars going up and down registering that the sond is being recieved however when i try to playback I can't get any sound. Its really weird because a little while ago it was working fine and now it's just stopped. I assume its an issue with how the output is set up but theres only two options when i try to configure it in the hardware prefernces and i've tried all the combinations Is there something i'm missing? like somthing that needs to be changed in my windows sound preferneces before it'll work? Any help would be appriciated as the problem is getting really frustrating! (I'm using the ASIO drivers but couldn't get playback with the direct x ones either, I've tried the various different sample rates (96kr, 96kp 48k) as some people told me that i can't record and playback similtaneously at 96k but this didn't resolve the peoblem)

Your soundcard is mentioned in Cakewalk Audio hardware forums title a few rows down. You might find info there, but I,too, think that the problem is Ableton-related.
