Tassman 4 and Sonar X1 any thoughts?

AAS is discounting Tassman 4 until 7/31. I am interested in any opinions or experience with using Tassman 4 under X1.

Tassman 4 works without any problem under X1 (and X1-expanded). I think the synth is worth the price asked, but that's a personal opinion. Although there are a lot of presets, the real fun starts when you combine the modules and start making your own sounds. A while ago (well - in fact more than a year ago) this synth was offered in the Cakewalk store at around the same price. I never regretted buying it.

According to the A|A|S website. Tassman 4 is available for $99 until 20th August 2012.

    A tempting price, for sure...

My further thoughts about Tassman... I'm not familiar with this "instrument" at all, but after browsing through a considerable manual, and listening to some of the sample tunes, it appears to be one awesome piece of kit. Perhaps just a bit too awesome for my liking in fact. True enough, I could just go with the presets and tweak as required, just to make the preset my own.

However, while browsing through the rest of their website, I think there are some amazing instruments to had... I already have two, Strum Electric and Strum Acoustic, and I'm only just scratching the surface of those. So far I am really impressed with what the Strum instruments can produce. And all with "Physical Modelling," which is pretty new to me... at least I think so.

The A|A|S Ultra Analog VA-1 synth looks and sounds great too. I also watched the video that demonstrates Chromophone... Dare I say... Amazing! Truly... I am beginning to wish that I had held off from buying the Strum bundle and got the complete Modelling Collection bundle for $499.

Tassman is wonderful, as are all the AAS synths. I have Tass, Chromaphone, Ultra Analog, String Studio, and Strum Electric, and several soundsets. Looking at picking up Strum Acoustic and maybe Lounge Lizard before their current sale runs out (extended until August 20).
Excellent quality and very versatile, IMO.
