no midi triggering sound,mad latency

Hello everyone
I could use some help, this is a picture of my routing for true piano,I connected my apro 500 but nothings happening on this channel.I dropped in a new synth and got sound but with latency?!I never get latency with midi can anyone help me?
Im using sonar x1 producer expanded 64 bit on hp pavilion dv6 quad core i7 8gb ram.

Also how much hard drive space is best?Does anypone use kontakt and know if you can put all the sample folders which is like 100gb+ on an external?(i know this isnt native instruments forum but just thought maybe someone would know)Thanks

Nevermind I switched it to apro midi omni and it works, weee.

But I still need some help with the how much harddrive space is best for smooth sonar function and if you use kontakt can you put all the samples on an external harddrive?

What driver mode are you using? ASIO is the preferred one. Have you tested with different buffer sizes?

About HDD space.. It depends what you want to put on those discs. OS and SONAR don't need so much, but, say, collecting VSTs and such on the system disc may increase the need of space.
Many have a relatively small system disc (80-200 gb), and bigger ones for project audio and sample libraries (not to mention backups). It's good to keep in mind, that if a HDD has less than 20% (so % not gb) of free space, it may not be able to work properly anymore.

AFAIK running samples from external HDD usually works OK, but I'm not 100% sure.

I suggest you put your audio interface in your signature as well. It's much more important in this forum than your video card, which you have listed. I already started to write an answer assuming you use the integrated soundcard.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    Don't forget that a 5400 hard drive vs a 7200 performs differently. Plus, USB2.0 vs. 3.0.
And of course whether or not the external drive is USB powered (for the 2.5" models) or with external power supply.

My experience with Kontakt in a portable environment has not been too good.  Libraries like Cinematic Strings simply need faster transfer rate. Some of the smaller libraries though were OK.

Need more information about the soundcard you use to comment on that.
