Hi Goddard,

I have been using the Samsung 830 128 as the system/programs drive and the 512 as a sample drive in my DAW for a couple of days now.

It is like a completely new system. I have a heavily sample based project in process that was taking around 4 minutes to load before I could start playback and have all of the samples play. Now it takes only 30 seconds!

I have a couple more Samsung 830's on the way to install and distribute some other sample libraries on. My current system is about 3 years old but I think I extended its life cycle with the ssd's in place.

Kind regards,
Rick

Hi Rick, what interests me is how the different capacity 830s respectively perform. Currently, the 256 is at the "sweet spot" for cost/capacity, although there is an expectation that the 512 offers best performance. Available real world data on this is still too thin.
