New PC, reinstall ok but problems with Echoaudio Layla24

Hi,

Just got my new PC with Win7 64bits, Sonar 8.5 PE 64 bits and Finale 2012.
Everything is installed but I'm expected some troubles with my soundcard when turning on Sonar.

I've got the message that my Layla isn't available because busy with another software.
Nothing is open.
I went in Win7 config panel\sounds to make Realtek the default device for windows sounds to liberate Layla24 but with no success.

Any idea ?
Thanks by advance
Alex

Well they told you it might not work, but one thing you'll need to do is totally disable the Realtech via control panel/ device manager. It can confuse Windows and Sonar. Set the Layla as the only and the default audio device. Before you even open Sonar get the Layla working with Windows. If you can't play a song with Windows Media Player with the Layla then Sonar will have no chance either. When I build a DAW, I do not even install the drivers for the on board card card if given the option.

I'll give a try, for the moment I'm finishing installing all my sound banks (Garritan and EWQL).

I thought I had to select internal sound for Windows and Layla for Sonar and Finale.
If the Layla is selected by default for windows, do you thinks it will work in Sonar ?

Seems to work ! I tried in Sonar and Finale, sound is ok with my Layla 24. Inly problem for the moment, I'm unable to re-install my EWQLSO Play edition and EWQLSC Play ediion neither ... I wonder if it's not a problem with the Ilok key ...

Some systems can co-exist with keeping the on board card for windows, but it is always recommended to disable the on board when trouble shooting audio issues. Just make sure to also disable the windows sounds or at least keep your monitors turned down. I always disable all windows sound.
