Wow, that is one of the hippest songs I've heard in a while.  I wish that I had written that because I've worked for people like that, and what a cool way to tell them off.  The mix is dead on for this genre, and the guitar solo is terrific.  The tones and accents put me in a blues club late at night.  The vocal conveyed soul and anger very convincingly without being overly strident.  I must admit, after hearing your last submission, I was leery to hear this, but I'm glad I did.  BTW, I'm from KC, too, so will I be running into you at BB's or Knucklhead's?

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks so much for the kind words. Cool that there's another Sonar user in KCMO. Actually, I live just down the road from BB's now, so maybe sometime soon when TUF is playing we could hang out. BTW, the late-night blue club vibe is exactly what I wanted for this song, and for that whole album, Radio Caroline(my hippie protest record. I'll have to finally offer it for sale soon on Bandcamp or CDbaby or some such). Too bad you didn't like the other tune. I'm quite proud of it, actually. I think it just wasn't mixed very well, or I used the wrong samples over the backing track.

Great song! One issue I have is that only highs and mids coming through. Needs a low-end boost.

    You've got a great voice.

    Playing is very good.

Mix sounds like I'm listening through a 3" Radioshack speaker on a Realistic tape recorder I owned in the late 60s.

But it DID NOT ruin the song for me.
