    Hi Norrie,

In the PRV, if you right click where the keyboard should be, you will be confronted with a dialog box that gives you the option to select "use the assigned Instrument Settings" or "use these note names instead."

If you choose the second option, and in the drop down box choose "Diatonic," that will bring your keyboard back.

let me know how you get on.

    cheers

    andy

I did what you you said I can see me keyboard again but for some reason when I copy a clip it is not keeping my controller data for example copying a open hi hat is then changing to a closed hit hat but not on all off them

Hmmm... we'll need more information methinks. When you say copy a clip, this must mean a MIDI clip? Are you copying it further along on the same track? What drum synth are you using? When you say "controller data," what exacty do you mean by that? Controller data would normally mean MIDI controllers like Pan and Volume, or pitch bend and the like. Whereas notes are just notes.

Sorry my bad at the moment I have up SSD4 triggered from my Vdrums. I am copying a verse to another part on the same midi track but it will not keep the open hi hats open and the closed hihats closed. Also even when I check down the PRV to make sure I am on a open hi hat If I draw a not in it sounds closed

Erm... blimey... not sure on this one. Does the Vdrums send a controller message to make the hi-hat open/closed? In which case, you may need to insert that message manually, I think.

I think you should have a look in Event List and see if there are any controller messages around about the time that the note for the hi-hat sounds.

It's a long shot but it is the only thing I can think of Norrie.

Okay, in Track View, click on the Options drop down menu and see what your settings are for "On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker."

Weird it has started Rewinding its self now with out any changes.... Yeah the V Drums send a controller message but usually it will copy no problem... I don't understand why drawing in a note to a open hi hat sound is closed from time to time though. First time I have had sonar acting like this

Attack of the Gremlins by the sounds of it Norrie. I can't think, for the life of me, what is going on. Have you tried the usual reboot, see if that settles things down?
