markers question

Is there a way to use an external control like a pad on a keyboard or a foot switch to move to a named marker not just the next or previous. Say a project has 20 markers and I have a controller with 20 buttons. I want to go to marker 11 with button 11 etc... perhaps a CAL expert could create such a thing for us.

I borought up a similar thought in another thread.  I miss the auto-locate buttons that were on old MCI multi-track tape machines.  Although you had to wait for the tape to spin, you could go directly to any point you marked.

The VS-700 Console has allowed me to set up a button as a NEXT marker, but I wish I had 10-12 buttons that would quickly go to specific spots.  This is expecially important with background singers or session players.

The good news is that the scroll button makes it fairly quick to find you place.

I would think it could be a simple thing to write into the program and integrate into the marker view. just enable act to designate a button as moving the now time to a specific marker. I want this feature big time.

    Why?

Imagine you have a program with 10 10 minute marker separated sections and 10 tracks with 10 different guitar ampsim patches and you had a project like this set up just so you could use sonar live. The footswitch could switch your tone just by moving you to a marker were a snap shot of each track would dictate the track you were playing through and hearing so if you wanted a clean guitar tone it would be at track 1 with marker 1 a dirty amp setting on track 2 and a lead with delay on track 3 and each track with its own marker corresponding to each track and foot switch on like a cheap FCB 1010 this would make it easy to create live sets and this could also work for keyboardists as well giving them live foot switchable scenes and making sonar into a solution for live playing.
