A few of us get 'em - they certainly are NO fun!
I discovered that mine seem to be triggered by food more than anything else (that plus my weird sleeping habits and, sometimes, getting too much sun). If I have too much of certain combinations of foods throughout the day, then my chances of getting a migraine go up a lot (too much chedder cheese combined with other milk products, meat combined with sugars, adding coffee to the above, etc.).
If you get them with any frequency, try to write down what you ate and what your day was like (too little sleep, too much, weird hours, stress, etc.) to see if there's a pattern. The only thing I've found to reduce these suckers is to take something AS SOON as I feel one might start. For me, Tylenol Sinus (the original, now outlawed, stuff) was the best although it did make me sleep for most of the next day but now I survive by avoiding the causes (listed above) and using Excedrin Migraine. Unfortunately, sleep and relaxation seem to only make my migraines worse and, if I don't take something at the onset, then nothing works and it's a long, drawn-out affair of suffering and misery.
Good luck!
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
