Bouncing Guitar rig: way too hot

Attempting to bounce a track in real time.

The output levels of the buses are maxed, no matter what I set them at.

Clues?

Are they pre or post send fader? What are the send levels? what effects are on the buses and what are they outputting. Are you playing the bounced track thorugh the same signal chain your bouncing in?

I would just go over your entire signal chain and see whats out of whack

    Hey thanks for asking.

    Yes to all the bits.

Very annoying. I am bouncing from a bus.

    All are post fader.

I have muted everything not included. So I am hearing only what is available.

But the bounce audible maxes all the meters, and sounds ugly.

I did it get it "bounced" by routing out/in with the sound-card's mixer.

But I don't wanna do this always.    So looking for some clues.

I will review it all again.

GR is in the first bus's effects bin....?

    Thanks

Well, keep in mind when you record, it doesn't record the effected signal, just the clean signal from your guitar. When you then bounce it to another track, it adds the effects and the resulting track will almost certainly be louder. You have to make sure the Guitar Rig levels aren't set too high.

    Been using Sonar since v1.

This is the first time I have encountered this.

    All works fine when listening.

Attempting to bounce single bus to a new track, in real time, results in the meters maxed and lots of audible distortion.

I will create a new project and test with different settings.

Do you maybe have a muted take underneath the take you are bouncing that's getting bounced as well? I don't know if that can happen as I haven't tried any bounces yet but it might be something to check.

I added a bus to one of my projects and put Guitar Rig 4 (64-bit) on the bus and sent the guitar track through it. Then I did a bounce to track and the track came out fine. It was not maxed out.

    Thanks for the suggestions:

Using a midi track to a DP guitar sample and then to the GR bus. No audio yet.

Might be the patch I am using.

    Will try more stuff later.
