Virtually no-one in this forum is going to be able to answer your question, as the vast majority of us have no "inside knowledge" regarding enhancements we will see in X2 (beyond what has already been made public).

I guess my question for you - to clarify - would be: What do you not like (specifically) about the PRV as it exists now? What does it NOT have you would like to see included, and what do you see as possible improvements on the way certain features are currently implemented?

Personally, working within the guidelines, I have no problem with the current version of PRV. Sure, there are various features I feel could be improved upon... but - just like the Staff View - I doubt we will see any significant changes in that area in X2.

The whole new GUI interface "LOOK", colors and so on is not shown in the video. What you see in the video is the X1 interface + new icons of some of the functions that will come in X2.
The new build is not ready yet.

Yea, maybe, probably not,  no. We are just like you. we are users of the program. you would have to call Cakewalk and maybe they will shed some light on it or maybe not.

The video IS of X2...it's just not the FINAL release...it's a beta...NOT X1...

    Just an FYI...

It's not uncommon for marketing to release screenshots of a product before the final graphics are done.  IIRC, Sweetwater still shows a screenshot of Superior Drummer 2 that's from the beta version.  I'm guessing that all of the betatest team are working with finished graphics by now and we should see a better idea at the end of the month when they release more info.

One thing I'd like to see is the ability to shuffle tabs around in the MultiDock. It just seems like the role of the MultiDock is to keep you organized, and the next logical step would be for you to be able to arrange your tabbed views in a logical order. Or maybe I'm missing something and you can?

Maybe you can in the full updated version. I'm currently using the trial.

That is the explanation that I got.
I don't like the colors of the preview either. I hope they fix the console view to dark color at least fix it so you can change it yourself.
