How to make an modified ACT map permanent

I created an ACT map for my midi controller (e.g. A800) proceeding along the lines of Scott's book (page 366). I was able to adjust the parameters for my plugins. But, it seems that these modified presets were not stored. After closing the session and repening SONAR X1 all the modified maps are gone. Is there a way to make these maps permanent?

Are you referreing to an ACT preset?

If so they are saved after performing the MIDI learn set up by using the preset text entry area and save icon at the top of the dialogue box.

See this video for more details.

The ACT learn assignments are automatically saved.

thank you very much for your fast reply. I am referring to the ACT learn assignments. Where are these assignments stored? Storing and retrieving the presets from the dialogue box work well.

TBH the ACT learn assignments, I'm not sure. They are per plugin assignments and saved automatically AFAIK there is no way to save those manually. I think they are stored in XML files in your %appdata%/Cakewalk/ACT Data folder.

Just to be clear though ACT learn is the process of assigning ACT property box cells to plugin parameters.

The ACT presets save the MIDI learn process which is assigning those ACT cells to physical controls on your controller. Those presets are stored in %appdata%/Cakewalk/Shared Presets in the folders with meaningful names such as 0A7F7099-E2BC-4869-B943-914D70FB0FE6.

ACT learn and MIDI learn are two completely separate independent processes but users often get confused between the difference. Not saying you are but just want to be sure.

After all I encountered the problem may be due to may-be damaged user data. After reinstalling the user dependent data for SONAR everything works well. Thank you for your help.
