Back to the future...

I just had a bulk dump and picked one of these up for a few quid.

I get so fed up with having to load up a soft-synth everytime I want to try a few phrases out and sometimes I just want to start playing without getting involved with the computer.

I used to love my old SW60XG ISA card and still have a load of files and sys ex stuff from back in the day, so while everyone is moving forward with new gear I'm gonna go back to revisit an old pal.

Man, it's even got cheesy 90's style outboard FX on it via an A/D input.

Hard to imagine now but a good friend of mine started an entire career making dance music solely with a Roland U220, and yet people worry about not having enough gear these days.

I love the old modules so if anyone has stuff like this gathering dust remember some of us will put it to good use.

When Bill Davies was a regular contributor at Songs his keyboard sounds were mainly ROMpler samples, and lovely stuff it was too.

You picked up a red X?  Cool!  I've always liked those.

(At least that's all I can currently see...  Oh well.  The main DNS server for this area has been down so I get a LOT of "Page Cannot Be Displayed" errors that require a few refreshes to resolve though...)

    Hi,

Absolutely great album with a massive version of "C'mon" with great yodeling and the famous Choir that was not Bapu or CHC!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

I just opened up and re-mixed a project of my son's band that was recorded on ADATs around 1996. Does that count?

This time the picture showed.  An Mu-10?  Sounds like a cowbell sampler...
