Big business does it again

I had looked forward to watching the Olympics with online pay per view. They didn't have pay per view available.

I've been looking forward to watching The Vuelta a Espana on pay per view as I have the past few years. Universal Sports has canceled pay per view. It's now free if you have a Universal Sports TV package (which I don't) but you can't buy it as pay per view. No way... no how.

So, instead I'm watching it for free on a hacker site.

I was happy to send in $20-30 to watch the Vuelta, but I have no where to send it too.

Next year I'll have to watch all the major bicycle races for free... it will be the only choice I have available.

What the heck are those guys thinking?

It was so much easier and cleaner to just pay a fair fee.

I think the idea is that this new policy is supposed to compel me to sign up for a life time of cable television.

    It didn't work.

They're still stuck in meetings trying to figure out how to get 70 minutes worth of commercials into an hour show...
