It might be useful to remind everyone that the act of painting icons is traditionally an act of meditation and prayer. It might not hurt to ask oneself; "what's more important, the painting or the act of painting it?" I'll reserve my opinion for myself. best regards, mike edit spelling and grammar

But I think maybe another meditative canvas would have made everyone feel just a little bit better. They didn't let her finish it though, maybe the final product would have been heavenly...or not. Ugh I ended up in quotes....again.

I could only look at it for a few moments then I had to avert my eyes till I could stop laughing. Thanks for making my day, ol pal. PS: I have to say that I prefer the latter look.

Maybe if she had transferred it to a nice black velvet background and used luminescent paints?

Jonbouy A sensitive restoration of a cherished artwork.... http://uk.news.yahoo.com/art-attack-pensioner-destroys-church-fresco-091917102.html One of my favorite movies happens to be a short one, but is one that ended up bringing about a whole bunch of pictures ... that some people still can't stand to watch! Luis Bunuel's NAZARIN had many funny things, the best of which was, of course, the laughing Jesus picture! But the very best yet, will always be VIRIDIANA ... when in the film they have ... the last supper! ... and the film has a quick freeze and it is exactly like the famous painting ... no film maker has ever been so clever and so far out with that stuff as Luis was ... and of course, the Society of the Children of the Bombing Jesus in the other film was rather ... pointed!
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
