backwoods beat blockers to counter stage fright are apparently not uncommon in the classical world. Beat blockers in classical music...

Crg Musicians get busted for dope all the time. Often, it ruins them. Just a little faster than using the dope. I've got a lot of old and ex friends that fell to dope. All I can say to all those young men and women high on being high and music is, one day the bottom is going to fall out of that high you are on, so be ready for a change you won't see coming. Agreed. My point however, was that it is the same person, and you are suggesting that one side of you can do/find things, that the other side of you can not. THAT ... is the falacy, not the dope! So yeah, that crash is not going to be fun! And worse of all ... that person will now have to recoup and put themselves together, which is harder, and sends many people to the "good book" (so to speak!) and not realizing the error in their perception that can be fixed! The rest? ... water under the bridge in the river of life! PS: Not that it matters, but one of the novels I have been writing is about dope and creating both music and writing. And I am making sure the visuals are there! I decided I would not make a judgement on it in the end, and will let things just be, which already got my sister upset ... she thought I cop'd out in the end ... and I had to tell her, that my choice is to let people make their choice. They either become a "whole" person, or they become just another cardboard representative of some ideal out there! It's their choice, at that point ... but the music and writing won't be worth it!

THAT ... is the falacy, not the dope! and how would know that Easy. It's one person, one mind, one body ... and if you are interested in being someone else ... go ahead! While it is easy to state that people are not sure why they do dope, other than the social pressure of friends, or the California way ... you got the dope you get the lay ... in general the only reason to think that the dope can provide something that you can't is because you never gave yourself that space ... you can even go back to John LIlly, Robert Monroe, Aldous Huxley for this discussion ... but you never thought in detail all those little corners of the chair and subtle details until you were ripped senseless! Same thing with "music" and "art". I merely subscribe to the "surrealist" definitions ... because too many folks do not like to "see" these things and are afraid of their dreams and "internal" visions, enough to discuss them ... to me ... they are a part of me ... not something that I can only see when I am on dope ... or not on dope ... and YET ... it's the same person! Which means, that we're making a "selective" distinction between what you want to see and learn, and what you don't want to see and learn, and are convinced that you can only see God when you are in a helenic state! Or superfluous state! WRONG!
