keyboard midi controller question

hello I plan to buy a A-300 pro (Cakewalk/Roland) keyboard for Sonar X1 does it work as shown in the ACT videos (synth, effect, console control)? can it control the transport ? it is supposed to work well with Sonar, could it be a good choice ???

    Transport works fine on my A-500.
    I don't do ACT so I can't help you there.
    If I were a keyboard player I'd go A-800 though...
