Somethings...

...just seem so wrong.

It's been some time ago I brought attention to the issue of
the machine bolts that are for a Tele neck pickup that is mounted via pickguard.
The problem: Nobody offered replacements and the new pup comes with a wood screw
which is fine for the Tele that doesn't have the pup mounted on the pickguard.

Well I ran into the same issue again. This time with a very well known place. Big time
outfit. There tech informed me that the bridge pup screws would work fine. Unfriggin' real.
After numerous e-mails as he was trying to help me - I finally sent him photos with the
machine screws for each pup in an electrical plyer....the machine screw sizes are printed on them.
Well that ended the conversation- haven't heard from him sense.

Now the same thing is happening with another issue for many folks and I happen to be one of them.
I have also asked here, there and everywhere and I get the same results as others....BS and no
resolution. Everyone is getting BS and no resolution to this problem...and yeah the first bit of advice
is the smart guy that says...use Firefox...use this..use that...like ya needed that kind of advice..it doesn't correct the problem wise one.
The problem is the PC I use for internet came with IE6. No matter what I've done or what I do
will stop many websites from giving me the notice to upgrade from IE6.
Now the problem which is the exact same for me as the others are having is that ALL indications
are is my PC is running IE8. It's indicated that since I installed it.

I don't mind problems but the ones that just go around in a circle that make ya feel like your
in the twilight zone...just don't understand.

I would understand if the Tele neck pup was some new unheard of pup. Same with Microsoft...but
thats not the case.

Think I'm screwed up? Well you can sure have a shot....go find a machine screw for a Tele.
Now the PC problem....I'll buy the beer. lol.

I have Chrome, IE8 and Firefox. I seem to need them all. For the PUP I use mounting screws for humbuckers.

My pups are all pre-mounted on my guitars. Even my custom made 5-String Bass.

    LOL ..funny guys...:)

I like to use computers but I hate them.
I don't care about problems that don't pertain to
my recording PC. I got smart and bought not only
hardware but software support and my wife deals
    with it LOL.

I was going to make cute little pickguards and use those machine screws
on your bass Ed...LOL !!  I should have! Nice to have company in the zone.

James they have a "kit" that is great and the first I've seen...the single is
metric - I didn't convert to know but would probably work...but I love this that they included (Best to double check with Tele screws, nothing is set in stone)
I appreciate the site James but I was really just hammering on the US
stores (you cheated lol) and their lack of attention to this and even dropping the ball when
it's handed to them and specifically about what happened at one of the biggest
suppliers not only in the US but Stu-Mac is know quite well world-wide. Oh well,
    their choice.

To me it was like that TZ when the world was blown away and the only guy
left loved to read but broke his glasses...and I showed up and offered him a pair
of specs and he left without them.

How do you get stuff repaired at your house Michael?
I have a sign I stick in the yard...FREE BEER if you can fix this and find this.
So far the sign doesn't work either and my wife backed over it so it's broke too.

Why don't you just tap the screw hole in the pup and find a similar screw?

Craig I appreciate that you offer a helping suggestion but you
    obviously missed the point.

I know what the correct machine screw is...not screw...and I also
know the technical info...which is a #4-40 machine screw on my
Deluxe Tele neck pup. I also know where to get them.

I just mailed them and asked why they didn't carry the machine screws
    for the neck pup.
They didn't answer but they replied and sent a photo of a neck pup with a bridge machine screw in it.

I think I should email them again and ask them again..."why don't ya'll offer the
correct machine screw for a pickguard mounted Tele neck pickup?".  LOL...
Do ya think I'll get another picture...maybe a 16 penny nail next time lol...with..sorry
we're out of the bridge machine screw that we normally recommend....just drive a nail
    in the sucker. LOL..funny guys.
