Does anyone use the Roland Groovesynth? Need help please...

Can anyone please help me with the Roland GrooveSynth? I cannot for the life of me get it to work...it just sounds like a laser no matter what preset I use. I have gone as so far as to reinstall ALL of X1 Expanded and STILL can't get this thing to work...ALL other softsynths work fine, but this one! I am using the APRO 800...is there something that could be going on with it? Someone please maybe shed some light on this issue for me as it makes NO sense at all! Thanks kindly David

...and I am running the 64 bit version. Is the GrooveSynth a 32 bit? Maybe this is my issue? Someone? Anyone...pretty please? With Guinness on top?

You need to change the preset from Groovesynth's interface (left click on preset name and browser through menus).

How were you trying to change presets?

Hi Seth...I have tried all sorts of the presets from the interface...everything just sounds like a laser...I'm on 64 bit version of Win7 and running X1D Expanded 64 bit...I'm thinking this might be my issue? Thanks for your help... David

I use Groovesynth in x64, so that's for sure not an issue. If it was, the plugin itself wouldn't even open. When you change presets do you see the preset name change on the Groovesynth GUI? I wonder if your MIDI controller is sending it some patch change information. Or if you've tried changing patches from the actual MIDI track?

Well...apparently it does not like 96kHz...I found where some had issues above 48kHz...strange, but problem solved I guess. It still irks me that everything else but this one synth works just fine at 96kHz..oh well.

That sounds like an issue I've heard of before. Any particular sound you need from it? Dimension Pro should be able to cover most, if not all, of the bases.

The Synth FUNCTIONED exactly as it should..GUI and all...just sounded crazy...any thoughts why the sample rate would effect this? I read and found for some it worked at 96 and others it did not...

LOL!!! If I do I will post it for all to enjoy...unfortunately, or fortunately I should say, I put the drugs down years ago and no longer would find this sort of thing quite as tonally exciting!
