Can't save a Sonitus reverb 'preset'

After adding the Sonitus Reverb to a bus and adjusting it to my liking, I am trying to save it as a preset.  It appears to work but after simply closing the reverb and reopening it does not appear in the list of presets.
I'm using the reverb preset manager.  I tried adding to the existing "Aux Bus" and "Sonitus: fx" bank and tried creating a new bank.  It saves it but only until i close the reverb window.

I think I found a solution.  There are 2 places named "Presets".  (Not sure why yet)  I was using the one on the right side of the window.  By using the one on the very top left of the window and saving over the "(default)" setting, it appears to be working.  I think I previously tried replacing and existing preset and it didn't seem to hold after closing and reopening Sonar...

Could somone explain the difference between the 2 locations named "Presets"?

    Thanks,

It is a little confusing as to why we have all these different preset locations.  For VST's there's often an additional one, so it can be up to 3 preset locations.

You have the basic Sonar preset, which is visible in the window up top.  This type of preset is in every plug-in that you use with Sonar.

Then there is the Sonitus Reverb Preset manager, which is the Plug-in's own preset management.  Most plug-ins have something like this.  Some are more elaborate than others.  Some point to a specific folder.  Others may not read and write from a specific folder, rather taking whatever the "current" location is which can be confusing.

For VST's there is the VST preset management that is yet another preset manager.  This seems to be part of the VST spec.

If you like saving presets, you almost have to decide for which plug-in which preset manager you will use.

Hi..  If you are using Producer, or Producer expanded, and you, "convert to FX Chain," you can easily have the chain show up in your browser...

If you want to create your own sub folder underneath the FX Chain, your path is most likely...

    C:\Cakewalk Content\SONAR X1 Producer\FX Chain Presets

So..  Just head to that folder, and make a new folder inside..  with whatever name you want to keep your own chain presets under...

This is going to help if you have a lot of separate vst effect plugins, and they all keep their own presets in loads of different places...

Right now.. I have my own presets all over my hard drive..  its a total mess...  Wish I had FX chains all along...

    too many lasers...
