Sonar LE compatibility with Lexicon alpha interface

Hello, I recently got Sonar LE with a samson usb interface microphone.  I have a dell inspirion 2200 ( that I upgraded the memory to 1gig on) and loaded the Sonar Le software on there.  I have a lexicon alpha interface that has updated drivers.  The problem is.  I can hear sound out of my computer thru the interface into my monitor speakers like if I play a song from itunes or from my media player, but I can't get the sample instructional project to play any sound.  I have everything set to "alpha I/O on my laptop itself, but and ran an audio test which said : "audio hardware has been successfully profiled
Alpha in/out (1 in, 1 out)
11025 Hz not available
22050 Hz not available
44100 Hz ok
48000 Hz ok
88200 not available
96000 not available
176400 not available
192000 not available

Does this make any sense to you?  My Brother is pretty good with computers and said that it may be "the processing bit rate" either i'm running a 32 bit or 64 bit software but i couldn't find a bit rate on the software itself. and that lexicon doesn't have a 64 bit driver so i guess sonar would have to be in 32 bit to match the 32 bit rate of sonar.  Is there a way to change that to match if that is the issue?

Thanks for your time

    Welcome to the forum.
Some of the tutorials are MIDI and that MIDI has to play through a synthesizer of some kind. That could be the stock sound card's Microsoft GS Wavetable Synthesizer, and external MIDI synth as in a keyboard, or a software synthesizer. Click Insert>Soft Synths at the top to see which synths came with your version of LE (and is that X1 LE?).
Then make sure that you set the outputs of your MIDI tracks to the soft synth, the soft synth outputs and any audio track outputs are to a bus, and the buses are output to the Lexicon.
