Clouds to Water video

I posted an mp3 of this a while back but I've  tightened it up more since and added some stock footage and some inspirational quotes.
All music done in X1 using Cinematic Strings 2, Z3ta2 and GPO.
Video done in Vegas Pro 10. Clouds to Water

Thanks in advance for listening,
Randy

Randy, you did a very nice job on both the music and video.  The mood you created is calming, yet dynamic.  The music and video fit together like a glove, and I applaud your choice of quotes.  The Cinematic Strings sound good, and I've been curious to hear them.  Bravo!

    All the best,

Wow that means a lot to me coming from you Lynn!
BTW, if you're considering CS2 don't judge by my piece, listen to some of the demos...also it's very intuitive and sounds good right out of the box.
    Thanks again my friend,
    Randy

I like it very much. It has a nice flow to it and I like where it goes.

I kept expecting Don Henly to start singing "Dirty Laundry". I'm pretty sure it's the same progression.

    Very well done!

Thanks so much guys that really does mean a lot to me!

Don't you hate it when you hear a progression or melody in your head and you think you've come up with something really cool only to realize later after you record that it was something you listened to 20 years ago?
My first response to your comment was oh crap! but then I checked out Dirty Laundry and the 1st 3 roots of the chords are F - Eb (down a whole step) and then up to Bb (up 2 1/2 steps)...my 1st section is G-D (down 2 1/2 steps) and then up to F (1 1/2 steps)....the 2nd section just works around the circle of 5ths (which no one has the copyright to)...so respectfully (and thankfully) I reckon I'll have to disagree my friend

    Thanks again everyone,
    Randy

I hugely enjoyed this. The music is wonderfully imaginative and creative and perfectly fits the inspiring video. This is a gem. (just out of curiosity, may I ask where you found the video clips - just the sort of thing I have been looking for, for my videos - are they from a website which has free downloads with a Creative Commons licence?).

Very nice indeed!!  The music is terrific as is the video -- they both are in synch and complement each other beautifully.

Does it really matter though. I mean, who put the bomp in these Happy Days are ours when you Stand By Me and the Monster Mash and who knows what else?
