recording audio, but it also has a bit of a bleedthrough of distant audio that is playing

I am recording audio into cakewalk, but audio that is playing back leaks through my current recording..  the new recording sounds clear..but the playback audio sounds distant..
the inpuit and output of each channel is set to my presonus audio card.  What do I do?  No microphones are running ..just this one line of my keyboard.. I tried unplugging and plugging my card, and tried didfferent inputs on my card but it didnt work ....also, if i have music playing on winamp, that bleeds through too! using pro audio 9...but never had a problem until now. i didnt change any settings

You have to examine your signal routing. Somewhere in the signal path you are sending the playback through the record channel. Start by checking the Presonus' control panel. You could have a What U Hear or similar channel that is causing it.

also,  my 2 speakers are plugged into a splitter that goes into the 'phones jack' in my presonus audiobox.  for some reason, only one speaker works if i plug then into the l and r output.  it has always worked this way..now audios leaking through
