ooof... reading manuals and making notes...

I'm currently reading X1 Power from start to finish to get a grasp on how to maneuver around X1 and making a list of functions and how to access them as I go along. Eventually I'll be slogging my way through the actual help topics manual to sync them up. Then I'm going to type up all my notes, print them and pin them on my wall. My brain hurts.

I edited my tip of the day file in 8.5 with things I used but needed refreshers on .... hope they bring that back.

Tip of the Day? Is that like other programs that toss a tidbit of knowledge at you every time you open it? That'd be cool... but I think I'd rather just have a complete list of all the tips to read at once... cause I'm freakish like that. ;-)

Yep, it used to come up every time you would fire up sonar. You could scroll through them before you closed the box.

I agree, it is nice to have a cheat sheet in front of you. :)

I retain knowledge pretty well but this is... uh... a lot of stuff. So many menu and binding specific functions it seems like it would be hard to accomplish even basic tasks without memorizing it all or having a cheat sheet. I hope they don't change too much of the basics in X2. I don't mind doing this big learning curve once but twice in one year would be annoying.
