a special announcement at the webinar for existing Cakewalk customers
My broadband went down for most of the Webinar, thanks to my living in the sticks.. What was the special announcement?

Order during the Pre-Sale and get free DSF Strings HD for Dimension. Was hoping for something a little better as I'm not a big fan of their exspansion packs. Was hoping maybe for a free PC module or maybe half off. http://www.store.cakewalk...ductid=10-DSSS1.00-20E

Thanks for telling me. Was that only for pre-sales? What did you think of X2?

Yep, pre sales only. I thought some of the new features are absolutely brilliant - you'll have to catch it on Youtube

Yes, I believe so. I liked what I saw of X2. Nothing mind blowing but a definite improvement over X1. It's kind of what I thought X1 SHOULD have been.

Although I was hoping for some kind of ProChannel special, DSF Symphonic Strings HD list for $149, so if you're upgrading from X1 Producer expanded to X2 for $99, it is quite a deal. I've just installed them and am going to check them out now. I thought the X2 enhancements were splendid. I'm looking forward to a faster and smarter workflow.

They didn't demonstrate the difference between the 3 emus, but you could definitely hear a difference when they switched the one they were using in & out, and that was listening through headphones

"Nothing mind blowing" Being able to put any effect in the PC isn't worth the price of admission on its own? Really?? T

@DeeringAmps That's one of the few reasons I'm upgrading, but I don't think that's mind blowing. People have been asking for that (or something similar) since PC's introduction.

So if I just bought X1 and am entitled to a free upgrade, does that count as a "pre-sale"?
