Sonar X2 and Overloud TH2
Does this replace guitar rig? I haven't heard of it before, but it looks interesting. I see you can buy the full version for $99 with the X2 upgrade.

Check the Overloud Web site for info on that..I looked and didn't see a crossgrade option I don't know... But $99 for the full version is a good price...considering the full version is about $199 Cheers!

Missed the Webinar, did it show or say what is included in the Sonar-version? Really need to see more about whole X2 package before ordering. Like exactly everything that is in it, from instr., to effects, the full meal deal! Is that available anywhere?

clintmartin Does this replace guitar rig? I haven't heard of it before, but it looks interesting. I see you can buy the full version for $99 with the X2 upgrade. I have suspected the version in X2 was going to be a lite version. I have downloaded the demo version and I have been testing it. In my opinion it is a better amp sim than Guitar Rig. It retails for 269.00, but You can buy it at Overlouds site for 197.00. So I will get the full version from cakewalk for only 99.00 because I will buy the X2 upgrade. This is a very sweet deal. I also use Pod Farm from line 6. I like a few of the features on it better. I can use and Combine both Pod Farm and TH2. Both tools are nice to have. I plan on buying the full version from cakewalk when I upgrade to X2. What a sweet deal this is. I was going to buy TH2 anyway. It is like I am getting the upgrade for free.

I just about upgraded from Pro 4 to Pro 5 in GRig, but will have to see which sounds better. I almost bought the special priced upgrade to Rapture from LE, to find out it is included in X2, that would have gotten to me, every dollar counts these days!

After NI killed off Kore 2, I've stopped supporting them. I'm thrilled to try this TH2~X2 combo.

I bought the TH2 almost a year ago and I have been very happy with it, I tried all the amp sims that I could find and the TH2 was the best to my ears, Pod farm was a close second, I'm very happy to see it in Sonar X2.

hmmm. I may try it. I have been happier with my Hd500/Dt50 than with anything else I've tried. Using the hd500 direct or with the amp, there are no latency issues, and I have been able to find tones I like. Guitar rig, amplitube, scuffham...haven't really done much for me. I know I'm in the minority on Scuffham, but even at 7ms of latency I found it pretty annoying. Maybe with Sonar X2's improved audio engine these things will work better.
