His Royal Highness, Sir Paul
So, I'm following some folks I used to know on Facebook when I see that a friend of mine from college posted a picture of herself standing next to Sir Paul McCartney and his wife. It seems that Mrs. Beatle works for her father's company and she dragged her husband along to a company event in Syracuse, NY. My friend works for that company, too, so she was in the photos standing next to Lord Paul's squeeze. Obviously, the first thing my friend did once she posted the pictures was to claim that she did not know me at all. It's what I expected, of course. Most of my friends are imaginary anyway. This whole thing got me thinking that there's a good reason things like this do not happen to me. I don't run into celebrities as a general rule. I think that's for their protection. I started thinking about all the things I would have asked His Paulness that would have resulted in Restraining Orders, Encounters with Burly Security Guards, and General Unpleasantness. - So, do you have a Plan B in case this music thing doesn't work out?
- Can you get me Ringo's autograph?
- Is it true that you like to hire Pete Best to play for a child's birthday party, and then have your manager fire him just before the gig?
- Now that you're a Knight, do you re-enact scenes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
- Can you listen to this and tell me if this guy is better than Yoko?
- If you're looking for some work, I know a guy who might pay you $20 to play at the Grand Opening of a Jiffy Lube outside of Boise, ID. Are you up for it?
- Did you ever consider getting a real job?
- Skiffle? Really?
- Hold on! Don't walk away yet! I haven't finished reading you the rest of the FSF! Don't you want to hear the rest?
- When you record a song, does your wife listen to it and then ask you if you're going to have one of your friends sing it instead so it will sound good? Maybe that's just me...

Oh, no. I'm not the one blocking them. It normally works the other way around, especially after they either get popular, get money, get becan, or get another band. The percentage of people I've known who later try to deny that fact is always hovering near 100%. I can't blaim them. I've unfriended myself several times.

I was once allowed to be within a mile of Sir Paul's Studio on the Sunshine Coast of England. Any closer and the invisible electric shield would have zapped me like a moth.

This months copy of Rolling Stone Magazine has Paul standing on the street talking to a street person on the sidewalk in NY. Apparently the street person was explaining to Paul that Paul McCartney really doesn't exist......at any rate anything is possible Bubba.

You could let him know that you know someone with an Alembic if he ever needs a bass player.
