Hi, At this point I think I would hire Bapu! There are only four other Bass Players I would like to hire, but I'm not sure they are available ... Lothar Meid (Amon Duul 2) -- too busy being retired! Bootsie Collins -- too busy with his looks! Stanley Clarke -- too busy with too many projects! Mike Howlett -- too busy chairing a music school now So that leaves Bapu as the prohibitive favorite with almost the same bass as his hero, too! And I would pay top price, too!

She's already taken ... poor thing can't even concentrate on her bass because guys are leering at her ... the whole time! It has to be not fun after a while, I bet! There was a lady that played with Mike Oldfield several times that did 5 string basses, and she was pretty damn good, too ... I do not remember her name. Sorry. And just recently here in the CH someone posted a link for another 5 string player that really cooked!

Ed would win easily, but it's hardly a fair contest. One has been playing bass for the past 40 years, the other has spent that time in court, rehab and various states of semi-consciousness. Ed plays pretty good while unconscious. No small talent, that. As for the court episode, there is reason to believe Shirley Jones was lying about the test results.
