Will the minimal install of X2 cover everything thats new ? ........
Question is : For X1d Producer Expanded + Production suite users, will the 4.5 GB minimal install of X2 Producer cover everything thats new over what they already have. I mean goodies like Dimension Pro, Beatscape and all the additional content that were part of X1. Or putting the question in another way, apart from the 4.5 GB minimal install, what does the rest of the content (15 GB+) contain ? Are they the same Dimension Pro, Beatscape and additional tutorial content which was already part of the X1 Producer install ? Please throw whatever light you can on this as it will help me decide whether I should really go for the media box if and whenever I decide to order X2. I can simply choose to download only the main X2 install files (which should hopefully be within the 5 GB mark) and let the rest remain for later. Unless the rest of the content is going to have a lot newer goodies (that were not in X1) which then would be too much for me to download. It will be very helpful if someone from CW can provide the likely breakdown of the download files with their sizes for X2 Producer. Thanks in advance.

I can try to get more clarification for you early next week. You should be able to do a custom installation and install the components you want. I'll have more for you early this week.

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk ] I can try to get more clarification for you early next week. You should be able to do a custom installation and install the components you want. I'll have more for you early this week. Thanks Andrew. Will wait for your clarification. Meanwhile, just to add that I understand custom installation would be after the installation file has been downloaded. OR would there be a greater breakdown of the installation files itself into much smaller components, thus enabling selective downloading as per needs ?

Meanwhile, just to add that I understand custom installation would be after the installation file has been downloaded. OR would there be a greater breakdown of the installation files itself into much smaller components, thus enabling selective downloading as per needs ? A gentle reminder, any update on this ? Some suggestions below...... 1. A larger breakdown of download files for X2 producer. Say, core X2 program less than a GB maybe, just assuming. 2. All included softsynths, samples and stuff as separate downloads in as many separate setup files as possible; because many of them would be already installed by X1 users so don't have to download again (like TTS-1, Groovesynth, RXP, Dropzone, SI synths, etc). Presuming that Beatscape and Dim-Pro will be separate files anyway as they were for X1. It will be nice to have Rapture full version as a separate setup file too. And so on for the rest..... 3. Would like to emphasize again that this would be helpful at the download stage itself and not just at installation stage. Custom installation has always been there within a big setup file. Its the download sizes of the setup files from the Cakewalk store account that I would like reduced by way of more breakdown so that I can be selective in downloading. 4. Also, it would help if some indicator is provided against each file stating which ones were already part of X1 Producer, X1 Producer Expanded, etc and which ones are new contents of X2 producer. Similarly for additional content with more breakdown there too. Any update on these at the earliest will be appreciated.

All EXCELLENT points for all of us,and those of us who have X1d Producer Expanded I too would like to minimize unnecessarry doubling of stuff I already have. Thank You Bob
